Commander’s Note
Greetings Victory Post 70,
Yesterday was the first day in quite a while that I was able to
open the windows and enjoy some fresh air, as I am sure many of
you did as well. It was certainly a welcome break from the heat
wave we have experienced.
There are several upcoming events and important Post updates I
would like to share with everyone.
Bar Bingo and Progressive Hot Ball
Our Bar Bingo continues to be a success on Tuesday evenings,
with the first game beginning at 5:00 PM.
The progressive Hot Ball pot is now approaching
$300.
We nearly had a couple of winners this week, so the next
winner could be you. Come out next Tuesday and join us for
Taco Tuesday and Bar Bingo.

Membership Renewals Are Open
July marked the beginning of a new membership year for the
American Legion family. Although your current membership status
remains in effect through the end of the calendar year,
early-bird renewals are now open.
Members may renew online using the appropriate link below or
simply visit the Post to renew in person.
Blood Drive This Sunday
Our next blood drive will be held this
Sunday, July 26, and appointment slots are
filling quickly.
If you are interested and able to donate blood, please
register for an appointment. Your donation supports the
American Red Cross, Victory Post 70, and patients throughout
our community who depend on lifesaving blood products.
Your contribution truly does make a difference.
Our Auxiliary Unit 70 will also provide
breakfast beginning at 9:00 AM during the
blood drive.

Third Annual Car Show
Our Third Annual Car Show is approaching quickly and will be held
on Saturday, August 15.
We have partnered with the Shelbyville Police Department SWAT
team and the Shelbyville Fire Department to host a canned-food
drive during the car show.
Anyone who donates canned or other non-perishable food items will
be entered into a drawing for a
$100 gift card.
Come out, enjoy the vehicles and activities, support our
community, and help us collect food for those in need.
