Possible Benefits for Blue Water Navy Veterans

Blue Water Navy Veterans

Due to a recent court decision, Blue Water Navy veterans who served aboard ships in the waters off the coast of Vietnam during the Vietnam War may now be eligible to receive VA disability benefits for exposure to Agent Orange.

It is estimated that there are between 50,000 and 90,000 Blue Water Navy veterans nationwide; specifically, Navy veterans that served offshore within twelve nautical miles of the landmass of Vietnam between January 9, 1962, and May 7, 1975.  If you think you may qualify, you are encouraged to contact your Shelby County Veteran Service Officer or your American Legion Service Office.
