Commander’s Note
I hope that your week is off to a great start. We had a busy weekend at the Post! Saturday we had a lot of fun at both the
children’s and adults’ Halloween Parties.
The Blood Drive was amazing for the beginning of our National 250 Challenge.
The goal was to obtain at least 30 pints, and we exceeded this by collecting 41 pints!
Way to go to everyone who participated and made it a complete success. More details will follow later regarding
the next event in December.
We are nearly done with the gun raffles we have going on at the Post, so if you haven’t purchased a raffle ticket yet,
please see the bartender in the canteen to get one as soon as you can. Tickets are $10 each, and once they’re gone,
we will draw for the two winners.
Don’t forget to come out for Taco Tuesday & Bar Bingo starting at 5 PM. This will be our
fourth week, and it’s been a lot of fun for everyone who’s attended. As a reminder, while the Post is not open to the public,
non-members may be signed in by a guest — so encourage your friends and family to join us for tacos and bingo fun!
The Veterans Day Celebration will be held at the Shelbyville VFW Post this year,
beginning at 11:00 AM. Our Post will be closed for the day.
This week’s Friday Night Dinner will feature Pork Chops along with our regular menu offerings.
Hope to see you then!
Stay safe, and I look forward to seeing everyone at the Post.
